Mallakhamb

Mallakhamba, or mallakhamb is a traditional sport. The name comes from malla, which means "wrestler," and khamb, which means "pole," so it can be literally translated as “wrestling pole.” The benefits of mallakhamb are that it strengthens the muscles and keeps the body lean. Some of the postures are considered to be clear imitations of yoga postures. It is said that practicing mallakhamb can support with developing a stronger yoga practice as it teaches how to move from the core and engage muscle groups that may otherwise remain dormant.

Silambam

Silambam is a well-known martial art style that is practised with specialised weapons, typically bamboo sticks. It is frequently practised in Tamil Nadu, which is also where the game originated in India. The game is often played on a level, hard surface with bamboo sticks that are the same length as the participants' heights. Silambam is a beneficial cardio exercise that enhances heart health and blood circulation.

YOGA

Yoga is a mind and body practice that can build strength and flexibility. It may also help manage pain and reduce stress. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation.

Sports Day

"Sports lead to a well balanced mental and physical growth and tones up muscles and strengthen bones, it also helps to improve students academic level and make them alert and attentive"

ACHARIYA trichy campus celebrate Annual sports day in the month of August with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The Augustus program starts with school prayer song, our beloved MD Dr.J.Arawindhan ji honours us with his invaluable presence. A distinguished personality in the field of sports hoist the Olympic flag followed by school flag by our ASM Trichy Principal . Our sports day begin with the march past where our chief guest take the Salute. To enliven the sports event our chief guest light the Olympic torch . Our energetic and dynamic students perform in various events which overwhelm each& every one.

A lot of enthusiasm is to be seen during the whole process of annual sports day ,parents turn out in great number to witness this event. Our chief guest and our beloved MD Dr.J.Arawindhan ji present the winner house with the overall Champion Trophy. The success of the event assures by the meticulous planning of our ASM Trichy team.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities fuel the kids learning by stimulating creative thought, improving their social and organizational skills, developing their interests and talents, and offering them the chance to switch off and do something they really enjoy.
